Penny Lane

Pug Rescue of Florida

You’ve probably heard about me…I was the muse for that singing group a few years back and they wrote a song about me…Penny Lane. I am a two and half year old Bug (Boston Terrier Pug mix) at a mere 17 pounds. But don’t let that fool you…I have plenty of spunk, sass and love despite my little size! They call me a Love Bug, because all I want to do is sit on your lap and give kisses!

I’m just a little girl, so I’m still learning my manners. My foster mommy says I’m doing very well, but I need structure — like I’m only allowed on the couch when I’m invited (she’s says I don’t pay the mortgage around here). Oh yeah, and I’m not supposed to jump up on anybody, so they say, “Off” and I know to get back down. I sit when you give me a treat, and I go to my crate for the pleasure of dining. I’m potty-trained, but they keep an eye on me around here so that I don’t have any accidents – and when I go potty outside everyone is so happy for me and they pet me and sing out my name, guess I should that more often out here!

Walks are a favorite of mine, and I love to run and get chased by other dogs while playing. I like smaller dogs better, because I really am a smaller dog myself. But I am okay being an only dog, too, because I wouldn’t mind having all of your attention. I get along with everybody, including children (as long as they aren’t too young). I have a few favorite toys and bones that I’ve stashed in my bed, and I’ll be happy to share them with you, too.

And I’m quiet as a mouse! I rarely bark, so I am great for someone who lives in an apartment or a condo. I don’t even snore!

Car rides are great for me. I just sit on the seat and watch as we zoom past the other cars (oh, was I supposed to repeat that?). I am working on my crate training – it is nice when I have a big fluffy bed inside, and if the crate is in my human’s bedroom at night, then I don’t get so lonely. But, I’m getting pretty good at it.

What can I say, I’m just a super sweet gal. Gotta love me!  Whatcha think, are you up for tons of unconditional love (and kisses)?
