Hi pug friends, my name is Peaches la Rue and I’m an approxinately 8 yr old fawn pug girl.
My foster mom has the most wonderful things to say about me — she says I’m really smart, I’m kind of independent, and I’m very happy.
I think squeaky toys are the best — I like to play with them and play fetch with my foster mom. When my people come home I also do this cute little howl to welcome them home — they really seem to like that!
Since I’m such a very happy-go-lucky girl you might find it hard to believe that I’m also dealing with some medical issues that are kind of serious. I’m recovering from a broken jaw and I also have a collapsed trachea and some hip issues. My teeth aren’t the greatest either. But the good news is that my friends at Pug Rescue of Florida have spared no expense to help me! They are getting me the very best medical care and my amazing foster family is by my side every step of the way.
I love the people in my life, but my foster mom says I still need some help with doggie socialization. I like other dogs ok, but sometimes I’m a little slow to warm up to them, but then when I am comfortable sometimes I want to keep playing when they are ready to move onto something else (like taking pug naps!).
I could be with other dogs or on my own, the most important thing to me is a family that loves me. I’m potty trained but I’m not a fan of that thing called a crate.
