Pug Rescue of Florida

Hi friends, it’s me Chopper.  Stopping by to say “hi!”

I’m a 10 yr young super cute Chug (chihuahua pug mix). I’m a little guy at just 15 lbs, but I have a huge heart and and I’m as sweet as they come!

My absolute favorite thing in the world is to go on walks — who knew, neither pugs or chihuahuas are big fans of walks, but I LOVE them.  A “walk” for me is really about 50% strolling and 50% sniffing…I mean, there are just so many interesting smells around and I just can’t be rushed!

My foster mom is so impressed, she tells me every day that I walk very well on a leash and I’m a great walking companion.  If you are looking for someone to help you walk off those holiday treats then I am your guy!  These days we go on 20 minute walks about 3 times a day and I would keep going if you were up to it!

When I go on walks I don’t bark at other dogs. I’m even happy to let then sniff and say hi….but I don’t stand along “chatting” too long, I’m most interested in keeping up my walk pace.

I’m a very curious little man — when I meet new animals or people I’m just really curious and take it all in. My foster mom was surprised with a big wood stork landed outside of their lanai and I just sat patiently watching and observing. No reason for me to bark,  Actually, the only time I bark is when my people get home — I’m just get so excited and I feel like I have to tell them all about my day and how glad I am to see them!

I’m happy all of the time and super agreeable. I like my squeaky toys and playing tug with my humans is a great game. I also like just sitting next to my people…or on top of them if I feel like I can help keep them warm!

I’m up to date on my vaccines, neutered, and heartworm negative. I’m crate trained and like to sleep in my crate at night.

I would love to have a family to call my own — if you would love to see this smiling face every time you come home, fill out an adoption application for me today!

Complete an adoption application here. If you love me but can’t adopt me, please send a donation to help pay medical bills for not just me but my fellow foster brothers and sisters. They sure could use it!
