We would like to tell you a little bit about these 3 precious pugs that were rescued in early March. They were surrendered to us after their previous owner passed away and they were left fending for themselves in a trailer. Luckily a neighbor boy came in and gave them food and water until arrangements could be made for their rescue.
When they came into our care they were in need of serious vet care. They were covered in fleas and all 3 had various infections including ears and urinary tract infections. They all also had dry eyes and were malnourished.
We are happy to say that after just a month in rescue they are flourishing — they are all very happy, loving the attention of their foster family, and getting healthier every day.
So far they have all had basic vet care including blood and urine tests. As soon as they are well enough for dentals and vaccinations they will receive those as well.
With all they have been through these three are loving sweet pugs. They love kids, get along with big dogs, and they are thriving in their foster home which always has a lot of energy and people coming and going. With those lonely days behind them they are loving off the attention and excitement.
All 3 are totally potty trained and sleep in their beds at night, however when given the chance they love sleeping with their humans too. They are all mobile, but at ages 11, 12 and 13 they don’t puppy level energy, but for seniors
they have no problem getting around.
Zoe is vision and hearing impaired so she is always comfortable with one of the others, usually Baxter, by her side. We are still getting to know their full personalities but so far they are very quiet as they hardly ever bark.
Currently these 3 loving seniors are on medical hold (therefore not available for adoption) as we continue to evaluate them and prepare them for additional medical care. They vet bills are already adding up so any donations toward their care would be appreciated. We will update their information when they become available for adoption. Thank you for your support!
