Sugar and Spice – Adopted

sugarandspice1I’d like to introduce you to my two foster sisters Sugar (16 lbs) and Spice (19 lbs) who definitely fit the title “everything nice”. They are two unbelievable sweet, tenderhearted, loving, 8 year old fawn sisters who are totally inseparable!

Spice, who is a little spunkier than Sugar, recently began to show signs of lameness. After taking her to the vet they believe that it is a slipped disc nerve issue in her spinal cord. Her original mom who took wonderful care of her for 8 years knew she was not going to be able to afford care that may be necessary in the future. So because of this her original mom decided it would be best for Spice to surrender her to Pug Rescue. She also knew that the sisters could NOT be separated so as painful as it was Sugar was surrendered to Pug Rescue as well. Spice does struggle with her left hind leg and will occasionally fall down lame for just a minute and then she recovers and gets up to keep trying to walk.

They really are the sweetest set of ladies I have ever met. When they go outside to use the restroom they are always wandering around the yard within just 2-3 feet of each other. They love to snuggle on the couch together and cuddle on their dogbeds together. They are very low maintenance pugs, who have a low energy personality. They are not barkers and are not aggressive to the other two pugs I have in the household. They just love to be around me and love to cuddle and get lots of pets and kisses. They have both recently been to the vet and received up to date care and dentals. It would be in their best interest to be in a household with older children or no children. A calm household who will pamper them and who would be able to offer the vet care that may be coming for Spice. I know you will fall in love with these two sisters just as I have…. They really are special.
