Hey there fellow pug lovers! I’m Chase, the Pug-Maltese mix. I am 4 years old and full of love!
I love to play fetch (especially as soon as I wake up) and chase after running squirrels and leaves flying in the wind. My foster mom says I resemble a short, chunky deer when I run… not too sure how I feel about that 😉 I like to take walks and run in the yard — a little boy like me loves his freedom. I also have the most adorable underbite and cute little ears,…what can I say, I’m a handsome fellow!
I love to snuggle with my people – if you are sitting on the couch relaxing or at bedtime; I just curl into a little ball next to you or on your lap and I go right to sleep! I don’t really destroy my toys either, I just run with them and drop them at your feet when you need to throw it again.
Being a small little dude, I get nervous easily. I’d like to have the house and my family to myself, so I need to be an only dog. This also means I need a little time to warm up to any house guests. I am more friendly towards gals and kids than men; but no worries, I don’t do much except keep my distance. I just like to keep my lady friends and kiddos safe.
I bark at strangers passing by and any weird noise I hear, so I make an excellent alarm dog. I’m very well behaved in the house; I don’t go after human food and I only use the couch to sleep on, not as a trampoline. My foster parents say I’m also very clean in all aspects, which makes them very happy.
I am crate trained; I stay in my crate in the mornings when my foster family is at work and at school. They just say “Go to your crate” and reluctantly, I go in. It’s not as fun as playing with my toys, but it means more sleep for me so that’s pretty good too!
Overall, my foster family says I’m a really good boy. I’d just like to keep all the love for myself. I can’t wait to meet my future snuggle buddy!
