Why hello there my future family! It’s me, Buckie Barnes. I am just a cuddle monster who is oh so incredibly obedient. I will sit and wait for you to give me permission to come on your lap. Another Pug service I provide is to climb on top of you as you lay in bed. Such a gentleman, right?!?
Since we are getting to know each other, I’d like to tell you that in addition to being Mister Cuddles – the Pug hat, I’m an 8 year old, fawn, 32lbs hunk O’ Pug. I was living the dream, when suddenly, my owner was not able to care for me anymore. Thank the stars above, PROoF took me in when my story changed, so now I’m sitting here waiting for you.
My foster parents say that I am just so incredibly adorable and, once I got comfortable with them, I came out of my shy shell. I like to lean against you and just stare at you lovingly to let you know how much I love you. If you give me belly rubs and you stop, I’m so sweet in that I will scratch your hand to remind you that I’d like more belly rubs, please. I could stand to lose a little bit of weight but since I am fairly active, I know the weight will just melt off. My personality is more laid back and I’m a lover, not a fighter. I am a typical pug in that I love to eat so it’s really important that my family not reward my loving and longing stares with too much food or treats. I have mastered giving you sweet sweet puggy eyes in exchange for a little cookie, try to resist the temptation to feed this chunky Pug!!! (No seriously, please do because its better for my health in the long run)
Did I also mention that I am OBSESSED with playing fetch? You will never see a pug run so fast and jump so high to catch a tennis ball! SUPER PUG!
I just had a soft palate repair surgery and had some growths removed, too. I do have a bit of cataracts so I squint when it’s sunny outside but my foster parents say that it just adds to my cuteness. I’m due for a dental in about a month so I will be ready to go to my forever family some time at the end of May. I think thats what they mean by medical hold, but it could just mean that you have plenty of time to get everything set up for me to move in with you.
I would do best with a family that has other dogs since that is what I was used to; and would also do better in a home with a fenced in yard. Just to be upfront, I have been protesting walking when I am on a leash (I’m a bit of an escape artist) but my foster parents are working with me on that.
