Hello, my name is Ava! I am a trim 20 pound pretty black pug girl looking for my forever home. I’m about 3 years old and I’m as sweet as they come.
The past few months have been kind of busy for me. You see, my human mommy could no longer take care of my pug siblings and me, so the nice folks at PROoF sent in a “Rescue Squad” to get us and then they found me a wonderful foster home to help get me settled.
When I came into Pug Rescue I was severely bitten by fleas therefore I itched a LOT and I lost much of the hair on my behind and back. I also had a pretty bad ear infection that needed immediate attention. Thanks to the wonderful vet care I received, and a bunch of tender loving care from my foster family, I’m feeling much better and I’m happy to say all of that is behind me. My hair has started to grow back and thankfully I stopped itching. Now I can focus on the important things…being a playful pug again!
I am told that I am smart and learn very quickly. I am potty and crate trained. One of my favorite things in the world is belly rubs. I REALLY like belly rubs and I will even show you where to rub, if you stop.
In the evening, when it is time for bed, I’ll be right by your side. You see, I love to sleep with my humans, but I’m happy to share and I don’t “hog” the bed.
I’ve always lived with other small dogs so it is really important that I have another small dog in my forever home to be my friend, but no cats – I not fond of them. I also love my humans and need my person to be home a lot to give me the attention I deserve and the support I need to feel secure. My person should also like to go for walks…I love walks so get your sneakers ready!
If you are looking for a pug companion who is beautiful on the inside and outside then please consider completing an adoption application for me. My friends at Pug Rescue would love to see me find a great family to call my own. I am currently being fostered in The Villages and my adoption fee is $450.
