Hope – adopted 1/12

Hi. My name is Hope. When I came to rescue I was called Puglie but the people at the rescue knew I needed lots of hope and that’s why they changed my name.

I am about 5 or 6 and a very quiet girl. I was involved in an accident when my owner drove over my body with her truck. I wasn’t taken to the vet. Pug Rescue was called the next day but then I had to wait until my owner finished school to let the volunteer from Pug Rescue of Florida pick me up. I was rushed to the emergency room and after a few x-rays and tests, they determined that I had 7 broken ribs, my lungs were collapsed and had three holes in them. The vet couldn’t understand how I could possibly have survived. I was having excruciating pain and was in shock. At the vet’s office, I was given lots of pain killers and was in an oxygen tank for 2 days. I couldn’t breathe without help. I was sent to my foster home where I am supposed to be crated all the time for 8 weeks. I am not even allowed to walk out to do my business. My foster parents carry me in and out, wrapped with a blanket, so I won’t feel the pain too much.

I am now spayed, fully vaccinated and now ready to find my forever home. If you can help Pug Rescue with all my veterinary costs I’m sure they would be extremely appreciative…………………. I am located in Location Spring Hill. I love LIFE and I show it! Complete an adoption application here.
