What can I say – I'm the dog that will only go to that special someone, you know who you are. I look like a mini-lion but I am a real sweetheart. I would like to be with someone that has patience for me since I am deaf and have limited eye sight but my nose works overtime. I'm an older fellow, around 8 but no one really knows. I love short walks and car rides - I ride well and just enjoy being with my person. If the door opens, you'll never see me but I'm right behind you. I tend to "latch" on to my primary caregiver and have been given the name Shadow because that's what I'll do, follow you and want to be with you everywhere you go. Since I am deaf, I don't react like other dogs and would do best as an only dog or with a dog experienced family – I need an interpreter since I can't read dog clues and they are confused by mine. I head directly for any food item which causes problems. But I'm smart and know some hand signals and will respond if I feel like it. So yes, I do have some issues but here with my foster family I am fitting in and am adored.

Scooby Doo & Pork Chop


Hi!  Our names are Scooby Doo & Porkchop aka "The Dynamic Duo" and we were owner-surrendered to the shelter.  We are both 7 years old, neutered, current on shots and very handsome guys, as you can see!!!  We get along great with our 3 foster pug brothers and love to be petted by the neighbors!  We get very
excited when our foster mom talks to us and our little curled pug tails whirl around like helicopter blades...our foster mom always smiles and
laughs when we do it in unison!  We like to nap, play, go for walks, and be cuddled!  Our foster mom feels that we need to stay together, since
we love each other very much and are attached to each other!  If you have room in your home and heart for sweeties like us, then please fill

Bubbles - #208013

Hi there! My name is Bubbles and I am a sweet, gentle 4 year old girl. I love kids, pillows, laying in the sun, and just hanging out with the family. Unfortunately I have some problems with my knees and they pop out of joint when I bend them, making walking, housetraining, etc. painful. In spite of this I am still motivated to please and have done a wonderful job in learning to go outside, but you can see I have to gather my courage each time. I will probably need surgery to correct this problem and am being evaluated for this.

I've learned to play tug together with my 3 year old foster sister and we have a wonderful time together. I'm really a very easy dog in every way, all I want to do is be with you. I get along well with the other dogs and I go out of my way not to make waves. I'm a big favorite of the neighborhood kids and I am incredibly gentle with them.

Like most pugs, I am a big fan of soft things and will climb to the top of the highest mound of pillows and blankets on the bed that I can find and snuggle in there. I am also a typical pug around food, I just get so excited I can’t stand it. I've learned the routine in our house and love knowing what to expect. To sum it up, my foster family says I may be the sweetest pug they have ever met, and that’s saying something!

I am "the perfect little Pug" literally!!! I am 5 years old and lived all my life with one family who took very good care of me. However, I had two big dog friends who lived with me, too;  we played a lot and they accidentally damaged both my eyes so I don't have sight now.  HOWEVER, I am very resourceful and adapted very well to my foster mom's home AND my favorite trick is to pull blankets, clothes, etc., down off chairs for me to lie on!  My foster mom still hasn't figured out how I know where these things are!  I have lots of energy and am always ready for anything!  I get along well with children and other animals but with my blindness, it would probably be better for me not to try to live with small children.  I have a zest for life and I would like to spend it with you!

Max is an 11 year old fawn mail. Mabel is a 12 year old black female. Max and Mabel are both sweethearts.  They both have excellent appetites and are extremely healthy.  They both enjoy a nice walk (slow but even with his old hips Max can handle a mile or so) or to just lounge in the lawn.  They are very playful and will run to see you when you get home from work.  They both love to cuddle and will often pout and paw if you ignore them for too long.  Max and Mabel would love a home where they can roam free byt they are kennel trained. Mabel loves absolutely everyone so watch out cause she will follow anyone home. They both get along great with children of all ages and love other pugs as well.
